Soap is a physical process, not a mystery. We teach the steps plainly so you can make choices with more confidence.
Ingredients
Oils, water, alkali, and a little character.
Every batch begins with a measured combination of plant oils and butters. Their balance shapes the finished bar: some contribute a creamy lather, others firmness or a clean rinse. Water makes the lye solution, and we work with it carefully using the proper protective equipment.
Botanicals, clays, and essential-oil blends come later as optional character, not as disguise. In class, we explain what can change colour over time and what is better left out of a formula. The result is a sensible recipe, not a cupboard full of extras.
The sequence
Combine
When temperatures are right, oils and lye solution meet and blend.
Pour
Colour and scent are folded in before a calm, deliberate pour.
Cure
The loaf rests, is cut, and cures at home into a milder bar.

Our workshops introduce lye handling through demonstrations, protective equipment, and a tidy routine. We do not frame soap-making as casual kitchen play. Instead, everyone learns the sequence and its reasons, with a tutor nearby throughout the active part of the batch.
